Job Description: Sunburst Restaurant Supervisor

Qualifications Required

• FOODSAFE Level 1 certificate, or higher
• Serving It Right certificate
• High School Graduation Diploma
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with cookery or customer service
• Minimum 1 year’s supervisory experience in food services
• Good working knowledge of current WCB regulations
• Excellent leadership skills including superior communication and conflict resolution
• Basic computer skills
• Knowledge and adherence to SPRC policies as written in our policy manual


Primary Responsibilities

• Responsible for the day to day operation of the Sunburst Restaurant, located at the top of the Sunburst chairlift
• Responsible for requisition and inventory counting
• Responsible for cost control of goods, expenses and labour
• Staff training, motivation and scheduling
• Ensure work environment is kept in a safe and sanitary condition
• Works with the F&B Manager, Executive Chef and other personnel to plan the menus relating to the restaurant
• Ensure all staff is attired to SPRC standards
• Must be prepared to buss tables, handle cash transactions and cook on line
• Responsible for maintenance and control of  floats
• Efficiently and effectively resolve customer service issues
• Under the assistance of the Executive Chef, contribute in weekly, monthly and annual budgeting and reporting
• Assist with kitchen duties in alternative F&B outlets during the off-seasons

Secondary Responsibilities

• Other duties as assigned by the F&B Manager and Executive Chef including assisting with special events and evening activities
• Teaching and other duties as necessary for the successful operation of the department
• Operate according to code of conduct and values statement of Sun Peaks Resort Corporation
• Attend all SPRC scheduled orientation & training programs
