Qualifications Required

Post-secondary education in a related field, ideally in business, tourism management or related work experience (ski or tourism industry)
2-3 years sales experience, preferably in the tourism or sport industry
Excellent written and verbal skills
Excellent understanding of budgeting processes and pricing strategies
Polished interpersonal and organizational skills
Strong knowledge of the tourism industry is required, along with a passion for the outdoor/resort lifestyle. A passion for skiing/snowboarding a must. Other sports such as golf and biking is also considered an asset
Extensive travel will be required, particularly in the fall months
After-hours meetings and hosting will also be required
Must be extremely outgoing, energetic, a self-starter with fresh ideas and a positive attitude
Proven ability to sell and drive new business

Primary Responsibilities

Develop and maintain sales relationship with industry shops, key operators, wholesale personnel, associations, corporations and group business
Accountable for tracking tour operator revenue and aligning promotions accordingly
Responsible for all proposals, quotations, confirmations and contracts coming to the sales department
Research pricing strategies, competitive offerings, and oversee changes in pricing grids
Lead generation, actively attract new sales leads for all core SPRC products in the local and regional markets, including cold-call sales tactics
Attend all FAM tours on behalf of SPRC
Develop pre-season bulk ticket sales programs and/or other ticket sales programs
Responsible for documenting new business and ensuring booking information is passed onto all departments affected, including Group Sales – Lead Hand and Sales Coordinator
Attend all regional trade, consumer (and real estate) shows
Ensure all group and special pricing on website is up to date and develop additional website information to assist sales generation
