Job Description: Lead Server and Catering Assistant

Qualifications Required

Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Events or Hospitality/Tourism.
Minimum 5 years management experience in the management of a multi-server operation.
Food safe.
Serving it Right (Licensee).
Excellent knowledge of Food, Wine & Service.
Good working knowledge of current WCB regulations.
Knowledge and adherence to SPRC policies as written in our policy manual.
Knowledge and adherence to all junior positions and their descriptions.

Primary Responsibilities

Coordinates special events, promotions, entertainment in Masa’s.
Works with the General Manager, Kitchen Supervisor, Food & Beverage Manager and other personnel to plan the event, menus and other related activities such as dining room and bar operations.
Responsible for cost control of goods, labour and expenses as per budget.
The preparation and distribution of Tip Pool as per SOG.
Ensure health and safety regulations are followed, and that work environment is kept in a safe and sanitary condition.
Good knowledge of food, wine and cocktail styles and techniques.
Flexible in hours and shift availability.
Supervision, training and directing of junior staff.
Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate daily operations under minimal supervision.
Acting with integrity and leading by example at all times.
Self-organized and punctual.
Opening and closing duties of bar & restaurant.
Understand all guest requests and complaints and then act accordingly.
Anticipating customers’ needs and exceeding them.
Knowledge of events and activities in the area.
The job commands a high level of adaptability and change that need to be dealt with easily, concerning both work and social environment.
