The Snow Sports School is responsible for creating a welcoming first and last impression on all guests and students. They are responsible for the overall quality of the guest and employees experience, this is accomplished by focusing on the guest, the business, and personal development. Under the guidance of the Sports School Director, you will receive a fun, interactive and teamwork oriented job experience.
As a Snow Sports School Instructor you must be physically able to work outside in all winter weather conditions while fully undertake teaching responsibilities pertinent to your certification level and discipline in a safe and diligent manner.
•You must be physically able to fully undertake teaching responsibilities pertinent to your certification level and discipline in a safe and diligent manner up to forty hours per week and eight hours per day.
•Able to work outside in all winter weather conditions including stormy and extremely cold conditions safely.
•High degree of physical fitness is initially required and daily maintenance of such condition as to reduce and or eliminate the risk of at work soft tissue stress. A department dry land training outline will be supplied for this purpose. Presently free of injuries that may obstruct daily duties.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
•Teaching duties relative to certification and experience mostly in our Winter Sports Company, Snow Minds Programs.
•Mentor guests through 12-18 week instructor training programs.

•Direct product marketing to guests.
•Operate according to code of conduct and values statement of Sun Peaks Resort LLP and the Snow Sports School.
•Professional and current teaching certification with CSIA or CASI at either level 3 or 4.
•Course conductor/course evaluator with CSIA or CASI minimum current and active level 1.
•Proficient use of spoken English.
•Outstanding verbal communication skills.
•Polished interpersonal and motivational skills and highly organized.
•Proven track record in tourism guest services and as a team player.
•Legally able to work in Canada from November 2017 until April 2018.
•Willing to submit to an RCMP criminal record check.
•Undertake required daily duties as per SPR LLP operating guidelines.
•Comply with the Alpine Responsibility Code.
•Extended sales training and/or experience is an asset.
•Course conductor/course evaluator with CSIA or CASI preferably examining level 2 or 3.
•Several seasons’ previous teaching experience training instructors or instructor training programs.
•Freestyle ski/snowboard certification levels 1-4 with nationally recognized organization.
