Qualifications Required

Previous supervisory or working experience in high volume golf retail environment.
Class ‘A’ Golf Professional.
Experience with retail merchandising; inventory control, loss prevention procedures, and sales tracking.
Experience and a good understanding of POS systems.
Proficient use of Microsoft software.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Polished interpersonal and organizational skills.
Strong commitment to customer service.
Willingness to be a team player and leader.

Primary Responsibilities

Maintain a high level of communication with Sports Director, Golf Shop Lead Hand and other Golf Shop staff.
Demonstrate a professional image as a member of the CPGA and the Sun Peaks Resort Golf Team.
Assist the Sport Director in managing the Golf Shop including: Staff training, Staff scheduling, Staff supervision, Performing and supervising daily duties, Opening, Closing, Cash outs.
Promote Golf at Sun Peaks via an enthusiastic and positive attitude, a proactive guest service approach and a regular presence in the shop, the golf course and driving range.
Promote, manage and deliver Golf lessons, clinic and camps throughout the season.
1st tee management including tee bookings, group pairing coordination, proper information tracking, policy enforcement, pass sales, course status monitoring, liability administration and course knowledge.
Actively assist with retail sales by promoting products, dealing with guest’s needs, providing assistance with staff training.
Assist with the organization of Tournaments and other events as required.
Assist the Sport Director with Shipping and Receiving of merchandise, and Inventory control.
Host distinguished guests playing recreational rounds as required.
Assist with setting up and tearing down the Golf operations at the start and the end of the season.
Control and maintain the quantities and condition of all rental and demo equipment.
Ensure the Back Shop and Range facility are operating as outlined in the Golf Shop Staff Manual.
